Hijacks and robbery continue to threaten seafarers

Seafarers continue to be exposed to the threat of criminal behaviour, including armed robbery and even hijacking, in many parts of the world. The International Maritime Bureau (IMB) worldwide Piracy Reporting Centre (PRC) collects reports of such events; recent reported incidents include the following.
