The Seafarers International Research Centre (SIRC) is based at the School of Social Sciences, University of Cardiff, Wales. It undertakes research relating to seafarers’ lives, with particular emphasis on occupational health and safety.
With SIRC's kind permission, ITF Seafarers offers the summary report and addendum of its 'Port Based Welfare Services for Seafarers' (2007) study for download and a link to the SIRC website for downloading of the 'Lost at Home and Lost at Sea: The Predicament of Seafaring Families' (2003) study. You can access these through the links on the left of the page.
