To celebrate the launch of the International Transport Workers’ Federation’s (ITF) new website for women seafarers, join a panel of women leaders from the maritime industry to discuss:
What is it like to be a woman working at sea – what are the challenges and the opportunities?
What needs to be done to end the gender discrimination women seafarers face?
How can the maritime industry work better together to recruit and retain women on board ships?
The webinar will be chaired by ITF Maritime Coordinator Jacqueline Smith and will feature a range of speakers from across the shipping industry.
The discussion will explore the experiences of women working at sea, the challenges they face, and the opportunities available. It will also examine how the industry can collaborate to improve the recruitment and retention of women on board ships.
This webinar is open to women seafarers, as well as men who support a more inclusive industry. Others working in the shipping sector who engage with seafarers are also encouraged to attend, and we are actively seeking the support of our seafaring affiliates in promoting the event.
